Which mapping software would best suit my needs?

I have three sets of data. The first is a list of major potential work areas. The second is a list of where my company's equipment is located and the third is a list of where our competitors equipment is located. I want to be able to map these three entities by their locations and by color. On top of that I want to be able to place territorial sales areas. Do you have any suggestions for good mapping software and any tutorial videos/demos of your recommended software?
