Would a law requiring a church to marry anyone be a violation of the separation of church/state?

The US government cannot make any laws telling a church what to believe or how to practice their religion. Any law requiring a church to marry gay people when it is against their practices would be a violation of the 1st Amendment. Likewise, a law banning a church from performing gay marriages if they believe that is ALSO a violation of the 1st amendment.
